New Age Marketing With Technology – The Top 4 Practices

Deborah says, "Some classic social media and marketing tasks that have proven to be successful. Worth a review, even for us veterans."

Now, on to the article...

With times changing, you have to change the way you are running your business. There are things you can do to increase the profile of your business. Today you need brand visibility, you need to be in control of your clientele, and they need to be locked in to your business.

The truth of the matter is that competition has really become aggressive and you need to ensure that you either beat them at their game or become better than they are. You have to become better than the competition and you therefore need to embrace the new techniques of marketing while paying homage to technology. They include:

Social media

The social media has transformed the world and making it a small village. Many people and a wider marketing use these social sites for reaching out to the world. This means that if you need to increase your presence in a market, you will need to embrace these sites. Many of them work in the same way, you create a page, and you get to have your clients follow you. On these pages, you get to know the views of your clients, you get to inform them about the new stock you have and other marketing and customer care functions.

Another way of making your presence felt in the social media is by registering your company or business on a page that is mainly an advertising page, here you send photos or a catalogue of what you have as stock and people get to make orders or become your clientele.

Email marketing

This is a new way of marketing yourself to already existing clientele or new clientele; here you send emails to them in bulk to market your company produce and other services. With this in mind, you get to send them emails to tell them what you are doing and or what you want to do for them. In some instances, you can also use this channel as a way of customer service wishing the happy birthday and other good will messages.

You want them feel at home and you want them to feel like part of your business. This way you get to lock them in and they become part of you, you get to make your company successful by taking care of the clients you have. This is the new form of marketing, cross selling and ensuring that your clients have more than one product from you, if you are in the services industry or they always buy from you if you are in the commodities industry.

Brand growth via videos

When you are growing your business, this is something you want to focus on your product or company in general needs to be presented as a brand rather than a company. Here is why; the concept of a company is old, and in the new market, you want a brand that speaks to all types of clients. A brand on the other hand reaches out to all divides.

A brand will be visible through color, association, and brand ambassadors. These three will make your presence felt, assuming you are a small coming up, association with a stronger brand will make you visible, and it will be cheap for you. A stronger brand will market you just by an association with people relating your company to success and the bigger company.

A good way of doing this is through videos which are easily accessible to the public. I don’t have to name them all but I think you should have watched at least quite a few viral videos online posted by businesses in these last 2 years. Such videos build your brand growth easily because the media is favored by the hordes of tech-savvy individuals in this 21st Century.

Show your corporate social responsibility online

This is your part to give back to your clients by doing something for them. Most companies have ideas about visiting the homeless and the less privileged in the society. As a further example, successful business models have shown that offering experience to graduates or students to learn the ropes in their studies or in your kind of business receives a lot of response. This means that you can employ graduates in a community and make it a trend every year. This will increase your popularity in every city where your business is based, and that is the whole idea of marketing.

And riding on the idea that the Internet is so easily accessible these days, make sure you showcase your sense of corporate social responsibility online such that more people can affiliate this notion with your brand. This means that when you decide to hold a charity fair, make sure you recruit the public through the Internet too. If you have a program that uses interns, make sure to broadcast your program online too. This is one of the best practices to get the word out about your brand too.

In conclusion

Marketing is the backbone of your business; you will need to reach out to the society and other forms of business. It opens up opportunities and assures you of business continuity. Simply put, the key to making money is letting people know that you are in business first. And what better way to do it in this decade with technology, right?
