Today's #SocialCafe Chat was about Blogging Knowledge Gain: The Blog Workshop.
This #SocialCafe event sponsored, in part, by our wonderful friends at:
Donna put it so well when she said that blogging is a "creative outlet." Just like playing music is a creative outlet for the musician and picking up the paintbrush is a creative outlet for the painter, so it is with blogging for the writer.
It is also an opportunity to share what we feel and share what we think, through this creative outlet.
A1:Blogging is a creative outlet - with benefits #TBW

A1: Blogging allows me to connect with others and get my philosophy out there (for potential clients, etc.) #TBW

A popular tweet by Janel, talking about finding that "slant" for the article, and publishing it before someone else does! So true, Janel!
As Da Vinci pointed out, it is pretty clear that one of the issues that bloggers face is time and time management. That is also something that will be covered in The Blog Workshop, as well as many of the other topics mentioned in today's twitter chat. (Check out the slideshow, above, to see the full chat).
a2:biggest challenges?finding a new slant on a topic that 100 others are writing about #tbw
— JustPerfectBeauty (@jstprfectbeauty) October 24, 2012
It's looking like TIME is the biggest challenge for a lot of you bloggers. What are some of you using to help with this? #tbw

Gotta love Lydia's reference to, "If you write it, they will come" and her suggestion that bloggers be true to themselves. Good advice, Lydia.
And, as Juan points out, "Don't Give Up!" Can't tell you the number of times that I have seen people give up right when they are on the verge of success. Keep on keepin' on!
@socialwebcafe A3: My fav piece of advice was to write for ME instead of the audience. If you write it, they will come. #tbw
— Lydia R (@lydsrich) October 24, 2012
A3: Don't give up. Don't get sucked into the numbers game. As @lydsrich said, just write. #SocialCafe #TBW

There are many things to learn, from the basics of blogging to the technical aspect of blogging, as Curls and Mo pointed out.
There are so many things that we wish we could have, would have, might have done, from domain names, to blog designs, to promotions... The nice thing, with the internet, is that it isn't set in stone and it isn't too late to learn better ways of doing things. The Blog Workshop is a great place to go to find it all-in-one-place.
@theblogworkshop: A4 Tech stuff. Plug ins. Headers. Buttons. Coding. SEO. #TBW
— Curls and Mo (@CurlsandMo) October 24, 2012
A4I wish I had known to choose a better blog name for branding ability! But I made sure to do it the right way with this blogazine! #tbw
— Da Vinci (@YourLifeAfter25) October 24, 2012
In closing, two great tweets of encouragement. Lydia encouraging us that we keep believing in ourselves and eventually others will "get it," too, and Donna summing it up with the simplicity of attracting people and then you got it baby. Hey all, you got my attention! Must be working :)
A4: That I wasn't going to have a billion readers overnight! I think my work is intriguing; it takes time to convince others #tbw
— Lydia R (@lydsrich) October 24, 2012
Once you learn to write for the people you want to attract and forget about everybody else, blogging is a piece of cake! #TBW
