We've done them. We've seen them done. Have we determined what works for us in a successful launch? Let's read some tweeted advice on the subject...

  1. How do you determine who your target audience is?

Any of us who have taken a marketing course, or been in business, or participated as the subject of marketing (in other words, a consumer), have come across the idea that "knowing your audience" is ever so important. Before getting the content out there, and launching (or re-launching) your product or service, you will want to understand that audience.

  1. What tools and resources are you using to get the word out?

There are several tools available to us, in a couple different categories:,

  • Efficiency tools such as Hootsuite (affiliate link), TweetDeck and many others, and
  • Resources tools such as tools that provide metrics and help us with planning our launch.

  1. In what ways do you prepare for the outcome of a successful launch?

Common themes came out in our Twitter Chat tonight. Those include not "over-expecting" and also, ensuring that there is a plan for super-success.
